Lifetouch will be photographing at our Church November 6th from 1 pm to 8:30 pm, November 7th from 1 pm to 8:30 pm and November 8th from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. MARY AND MARTHA - A COMTEMPLATIVE AND ACTIVE WOMEN'S SEMINAR

This wonderful day will begin with Mass in the Church at 9:00 am and will continue in our Parish Center or Hall depending on the response and RSVPs received. Our guest speaker will be Sister Susan Blomstad who has been a Franciscan Sister for 50 years with 23 years of experience in retreat ministry. She will offer two presentations centered around the story of Mary and Martha in the gospel of Luke. Reflections will revolve around the challenge we all have to become a contemplative in action (or an active Contemplative). We will "practice" a form of Lectio Divina which is an effective way to enter into the gospel story in a personal way and allow Jesus to speak again through the story. This, as well as other presentations throughout the day, have been developed to help nurture the contemplative values and active principles that we share. The event is open to all women interested in enriching their faith. For more information or if you'd like to help, please contact Miki Landseadel at (805) 975-6996 or Cheryl Carpenter at (805) 543-6408.
