Child Baptisms - English
Children from 0 to 6 years old are considered candidates for an infant baptism. Children 7 and older need to complete their first communion preparation to be baptized, usually on Easter Vigil each year. Instruction classes in English are offered by appointment. The English baptism ceremony will be celebrated every Saturday, upon availability, at 10:00 AM. Sponsors should be practicing Catholics and married by the church with the Sacrament of Matrimony. Please call the Parish Office to arrange both the instruction class and date of baptism.

Bautizos de Niños - Español
“Los niños que desean ser bautizados deben tener de 0 a 6 años para ser considerados para el bautismo de infantes. Si los niños son de 7 años o mayores deben completar sus dos años de catecismo en preparación para su primera comunión; una vez completo el proceso serán bautizados en la hermosa ceremonia de la vigilia pascual que se lleva acabo cada año el llamado sábado de Gloria. La clase de bautismo estará disponible con cita en el tiempo y lugar indicados y debe completarse antes del día del bautismo; padres y padrinos de los niños deben asistir a la Clase. La ceremonia del bautismo se celebrará los sábados a las 9:00 am según disponibilidad. Los padrinos deben ser mayores de 18 años católicos practicantes, casados por la Iglesia o solteros sin ningún 1 compromiso de unión libre. Por favor llame a la oficina parroquial para programar el bautizo y la clase.
Favor de llamar a la oficina parroquial al (805) 467-2131 para programar el bautizo de su hijo e inscribirse para las pláticas. Las pláticas para Papás y Padrinos se llevan a cabo el tercer jueves del mes a las 7:00 p.m. Los bautizos son el cuarto sábado del mes a las 10:00 a.m.
Adult Baptisms
When adults want to become Catholics, we ask them to go through the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation) program. The baptism ceremony will be held on the Easter Vigil each year. Please call the Parish Office for more information.

Religious Instruction and Preparation for First Communion - English
Preparation for First Holy Communion is a two year program. Registration takes place during the Summer, classes are held from September through May. For first year students on Tuesdays and for second year students on Wednesdays both from 6:30 PM to 8 PM in the Parish Center. Children preparing for First Communion must be baptized and in at least 1st Grade. Please call the Parish Office for more information.

Quinceañeras
Esta es una hermosa ocasión para dar gracias a Dios por la vida de la joven. Estamos dispuestos para dar una bendición 2 especial como parte de cualquiera de las misas dominicales. Para una misa particular la señorita necesita estar Bautizada, haber hecho su Primera Comunión, y asistir a la clase de Confirmación. Antes de apartar la fecha deben entrevistarse con el Sacerdote para determinar el proceso. Favor de llamar a la Oficina Parroquial para más información.
Marriages
Please call the Parish Office at least six months in advance and make an appointment with the Pastor. To be married in the church, you will need to bring current baptism, first communion and confirmation certificates, two witnesses and must attend a marriage preparation program.

Matrimonio
Llame a la oficina parroquial seis meses antes de su ceremonia para hacer una cita con el sacerdote para comenzar su proceso de preparación matrimonial. Para casarse se necesita que obtenga las actas de bautismo, primera comunión, y confirmación. También necesitan traer dos testigos y atender un programa de preparación matrimonial.
The Sick
There are communion ministers, along with the Pastor, who will bring communion to the sick. The Pastor will come to give the Anointing of the Sick to anyone who asks.

Liturgical Ministries
In connection with our celebration of the Masses, we have lectors (lectores) who do the readings, communion ministers ((ministros extraordinarios de la comunión) who help to give out communion, ushers (hospitalidad) who both welcome people and take care of the collections, altar servers (acolitios) who help the priest at the altar, sacristans (sacristanes) who take care of the setting up before and after the mass and different cermonies and the choirs (coros) who lead the music. If you are interested in joining any of these ministries, please talk to any of the ministers after mass for more information.

Secular Franciscans (Third Order)

Leadership Groups
Finance Council
This is a group of six appointed advisory committee members who advice our pastor in making financial decisions. Please note, this council meets once a month.
Pastoral Council
This is a group of representatives from the different parish ministries which together with the pastor make decisions about all the pastoral activities of the parish. They meet once a month in the Parish Center.
Special Committees
Certain committees can be formed, such as the festival committee, to assist in fundraising and fellowship activities.
