Mission San Miguel will celebrate its 211th birthday on September 21st, 2008 with its annual Fiesta. The funds raised at the Fiesta help to restore and maintain this National Historic Landmark. Live Music by group "Musical Cortesia" will entertain all as well as dancing by a local ballet folklorico group "Cachanilla." Tickets for the Barbecue, which includes salad, garlic bread, beans, salsa and a choice of beef or chicken, are $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for children. Desserts, snow cones and refreshments including beer, will also be offered for sale. Bounce castles will be available for the children as well as raffle prizes for the adults. Meal tickets or raffle tickets (need not be present to win) are available for sale in the Mission Gift Shop or by calling Monica at (805) 674-2968. All donations are tax-deductible.
